Architecture and design is the core service of the Practice and covers the full spectrum and scale of developments projects. The philosophy of a partnership approach with clients and contractors combined with an innovative design approach is instrumental in achieving high quality design solutions for everyone to enjoy. The Practice actively promotes contemporary architecture and aims to create interesting buildings through the introduction of natural light and the creation of space.
town planning
In addition to providing advice on planning and environmental law and practice to a wide range of commercial and individual clients, we provide town planning services for a complete range of development projects including opencast coal mining, landfill, quarrying, papermill extensions, development master-planning, and residential and commercial developments. The Practice also participates in various development projects involving Environmental Impact Assessments and represents clients at Local Plan and Planning Appeal Inquiries.

The ability to deliver projects on time and on budget is a principal aim and strength of the Practice. Through our structured ISO 9001:2008 quality assured management system and the development of professional working relationships with clients, contractors and service providers, we can provide project management and design management services. environmental energy modelling
Energy modelling is now an integral part of modern building design and all building types require to be modelled to show compliance with the Technical Standards for Building Warrant applications. We can provide SBEM (Simplified Building Energy Model) calculations for non domestic buildings and SAP (Standard Assessment Procedure) calculations for domestic buildings for submission to Building Control.
In addition we can also provide EPC's (Energy Performance Certificates) for domestic and non domestic new build construction. We provide our environmental energy modelling service to developers, architects, house builders, contractors and building professionals.
inspection services
Inspection services are carried out as part of full or part commissions. Given our wealth of on-site construction experience, we can tailor a service to meet individual client's needs whether this is a traditional Clerk of Works service, part of a bespoke snagging service for contractors or general construction advice.
3D visualisation
Enabling a client to visualise their ideas is a major step in the design process. We fully utilise 3D modelling as part of the design approach from feasibility studies through to fully rendered visualisations for planning submissions or sales literature.
